Sweden's and Borås' international centre for textiles, fashion and design.
In the old industrial area of Simonsland, right in the city centre, is the Textile Fashion Center. Once home to weaving, spinning, sewing and dyeing mills, the pace hasn't slowed down, even though it's been a long time since the noise of the factory stopped. Students, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses and visitors mix, meet and collaborate in one environment, where dreams, needs and ideas are what inspire, challenge and drive the whole centre.
Everything you need to know before your visit to Textile Fashion Center
Some of the actors present in the centre are the Swedish School of Textiles, the Nordic Textile Academy, several companies and start-ups and the Textile Museum. This is where the sustainable textiles of the future are created with circular business models. The research is world-leading and most of the assignments are national. On the ground floor, you can also be inspired by exciting exhibitions that are changed continuously throughout the year.
Guided tour of the Textile Fashion Center
