With its large facades and open spaces, the main square is the heart of the city. Grand buildings such as the town hall and the old Nordea Bank give the square character, and it's also home to vibrant shops where the big chains sit side by side with local boutiques such as N.Y, where Scandinavian fashion meets established international brands, and Berghs, Borås' oldest coffee and tea shop.
Stora Torget connects many popular streets and is an excellent starting point for those who want to experience Borås. In the summer, the square blossoms into a wonderful venue for concerts and outdoor cinema. But there's a buzz of activity all year round as markets and events in all different forms take place here.
