Kayak, canoe or SUP in Borås
Borås offers several different types of paddling experiences.
Take a trip in Viskan that runs right through the city, or in one of the many lakes. Here's where you can rent a kayak, canoe or SUP board for your next paddling adventure.
Vildland
At Vildland you can rent tents and kayaks for a day trip, overnight, a weekend or a week. They have kayaks for rent from Point65, simple kayaks for day trips and single or double kayaks for multi-day trips. The kayaks are collected from the shop, where you have direct access to Viskan or if you want to try new waters elsewhere. You can also rent SUP boards.
Kayakomat
The flexible rental concept, which makes it easy to set out on an adventure, is now available at Sjömarkens bathing area. You rent easily and conveniently via your mobile phone and it is available around the clock. You can choose between solo kayak, tandem kayak or SUP board. The price varies between 159 SEK - 349 SEK and the minimum rental period is one hour. You need to provide your own life jacket.
Borås Camping
Canoes are also available for hire at Borås Camping. If you're a bit more experienced and daring, take a longer trip. With a few lifts along the way, you can paddle all the way to the city centre. There are a total of 10 canoes for hire. Cost 150 SEK/canoe per hour or 350 SEK/canoe per day. An adult must always be present. Don't forget to bring your ID. Life jackets are available to borrow.
Almenäs
Viskan flows right through Borås and joins Öresjö in the north. Along Öresjön lies the summer paradise of Almenäs, where you can sunbathe, swim, eat ice cream and rent kayaks at Verano Marina.
