Kypegårdens outdoor area

The popular recreation area blurs the line between city and nature.

A stone's throw from the centre of Borås you will find Kypegårdens open-air area. This popular recreation area blurs the line between city and nature and offers swimming, saunas, hiking trails, barbecue areas and fishing. There are also several outdoor gyms, boules and a beach volleyball court.

The small house has a changing room, shower, wood-fired sauna and is the perfect starting point whether you want to go around the cosy lake Kypesjön or head out into the woods. In summer there is a café with delicious ice creams and refreshing drinks.

Starting from the Kypegården, you can set out on one of the four hiking trails of varying difficulty. The flat trail around the lake (1.3 km) is wheelchair accessible and also suitable for those who like to run on a flat track. Whichever trail you choose, you will experience some of Borås' most beautiful scenery.
Don't miss the mountain Tarzanberget with its breathtaking views! At Kypesjöns bathing area there is a sandy beach, jetty and large green areas. Dogs are welcome at the small beach on the opposite side of the lake.
